In participation with the governor of Nablus, representatives of the local associations as well as the dignitaries of the city, Hawwa Association launched its second phase of the charitable bakery. The opening of this bakery comes as another step towards its development and its positive effect that it has on hundreds of poor citizens in the city who are getting their daily bread for free from the bakery.

The second phase of the bakery was opened by the Governor of Nablus, Dr. Said Abu Ali, who spoke about the increasing efforts Hawwa Association offers to its community. Ghada Abdul Hadi, the Head of the Association said in her opening speech that the Association thought of developing new methods to improve the services offered to the community. The aim of the bakery and its new production line is to offer hundreds of families their daily bread in the old city of Nablus and other neighborhoods where people are going through hard life conditions. Besides this, the project offers the association some financial aid from the opening of a new cafeteria.  This cafeteria is open for the female public where only females can get some recreation in these hard times while the profits of it go to the charitable project.

Abdul Hadi also said that the strategy of the project is based on doing whatever helps the community and to have different sources of income. This strategy will help the association to be financially secure, it also helps maintain the stability and sustainability of the projects ran by the Association.

One of the citizens benefiting from the help his family has received from this bakery, commented that this food allows his family to save some money for the children's school expenses. It is worth mentioning that thousands of the employees of Nablus city lost their jobs and became unemployed since the imposing of the siege six years ago.
